Pandora at SFSU

iMSA welcomes Tom Conrad, the Chief Technology Officer of Pandora Internet Radio!
Love Music? Love Technology? Pandora combines both to provide users the best experience when you listen to music.  Come in and see how the classes you take for ISYS apply!  Learn more about how this company uses Java, Open Source, Project Management and Data Base Modeling when they are conducting their Music Genome Project, a complex system of algorithms that separate and categorizes the hundreds of attributes in music.

Our meeting will be in the Business Building Room 216 at 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Wednesday, 10/21/09.

Contact Ben (iMSA President) at imsa.sfsu@gmail.com for any questions about this event.

Software Freedom Day

Software Freedom Day

Software Freedom Day is a global celebration and education of why transparent and sustainable technologies are now more important than ever. With over 200 teams in 60 countries participating, it is a fantastic event to get involved in. We will be on campus from 10:00AM to 3:00PM tabling with iLEARN.  The day of the event was September 19th, 2009, but has now changed to September 17th, 2009. So stop by and pick up some open source software!  More information about Software Freedom Day at SFSU can be found here. Other general information about the celebration can be found here

Interested in volunteering for this event?  Want to network your ISYS professors outside of the classroom?  E-mail us at imsa.sfsu@gmail.com and title the E-mail as "Software Freedom Day: Volunteer"
